Module 6 – Triple Threat Affiliate!!! Part 2

by nigelyip on February 3, 2009

cont….. from previous post:  “Module 6 – Triple Threat Affiliate!!! Part 1″

So yeah, where were we , oh yes, email marketing. Now after his 2 mins break with a battle to find Bonjela to soothe his ulcer, Alex progressed with email marketing and told us that we

“are on the way to a million dollar business”

Yeah right?

  • For Alex Himself -  Definately YES!
  • For some, YES TOO!!!
  • For others, NOPE, or not yet, BUT  maybe one day soon!
  • And for the few and far between, Blimin’ Highly Unlikely NOT- LOL!!!

But yeah, Alex then went on further and explain the two types of Aweber email contact – Auto Responders and Broadcast fucntions ,features, difference and how to st them up – it was certainly a Formidable (*pronouce it with French Accentand use the French meaning please*) effort demonstrating us his email marketing strategy and how he runs his Aweber side of his business.

Although I have to say now though, after last nights webinar session, I know as to why the communications dishes and signals between Alex along with the rest of the what is left of the so called fortunate 500 students, and I are so misaligned, thus the key reason why my blog  is hindered and not progressing as it should be, and why I should have listened to my gut instinct which has been telling me something I chose to ignore until recently, as well as why some students have left too.

It’s so damn pretty obvious, and I guess all of you, already knew what is was.  I guess, I should have known better, but then who cares, now that I’ve found the other half of my key to unlock my chosen door of destiny!

All the best
Nigel

PS: Have you found or already found your key yet?

Module 6 – Triple Threat Affiliate!!! Part 1

by nigelyip on February 2, 2009

Hey Everyone,

Hmmm…. Module 6 – Triple Threat affiliate? So what can I say?

Well first and foremost it was an information overload session and the coaching webinar session went beyond the 3 hour mark and I fell asleep twice during the webinar. Yes, that’s right I nodded off twice or more and no, it’s wasn’t boring, just my brain felt quite incompetent to handle the various processing streams of information although despite I nodded off on several occasions, I still managed to take a humoungous amount of notes.

Anyway, before I nod off again, how was module 6?

It began with Alex zentifying and deep brain cleansing with his philosophical pschological tactics and pre-priming us in the best receptive mode to focus on his lecture are it seemed to have the opposite effect for me and it all started off again with one of the numerous stories he would tell us about.

You see, Alex, was telling us how a French Guy named Matt Monsieur? Monsieur Matt? who he was attending a seminar with in San Francisco, who later when Alex met up again, year ago had built a business with blew past Alex’s. The point was that somehow fate and coincidence bought them back together again earlier this fornight when Alex was visiting Disneyland Florida. Apparently they parked in the same block and were 5 cars apart in the same row? That’s just freaky destiny or what?

Anyway, later continued to explain how both families then went around together having fun, enjoying life etc.. and that Walt Disney’s motto of:

“One Man’s dream

was what Alex also believed and that he and Monsieur Matt went around Disneyland looking at various aspects from a marketing perspective, where they stumbled upon the 3 little pigs and stood there laughing like kids according to his missus.

This Alex, used effectively in describing how everyone should be building a business with strong foundations i.e. like the third little pig who built the house of bricks and mortar and kept the wolf out of bay. So after storytelling times of happy adventures across the pond, aka the Atlantic ocean, Alex Fastracked to reasons why everyone should be focusing on list building and list build only. Nothing else – just build the damn list, list, list!!!

But another few key ingredients included – you need to be able to create quality fresh content, traffic, and create a form or something that makes people attract to you or makes you likeable.(Sorry but that ain’t moi, everybody hates me even if I smile at them lol – guess I must have a mean face)

Furthermore, Alex then bombard us with his usual dictionary of random quotes collated from various influences, guros, experts and so called people with high authority along with all the 80/20 rules, about not holding back and re-plan, re-plan, re-plan.

Then there were the 3 phases:

  • Build A List
  • Write your own eBook
  • Learn e-Mail Marketing

Well, yeah, also earning as your learning? Erm…is that even a good strategy?

Next for the remain hours or so , Alex kept recapping on what we had leanrt and that it was a simple process, just:

  1. Create a good eBook
  2. Create a squeeze page
  3. Set up on Autopilot
  4. Market the eBook
  5. Build a list,

And finally keeping everything SIMPLE!!!!!

Oh and there was something about Results and Excuses and that

“You can be so close to success but not see how close you really are!”

Well how dose one define close, a eyelash away, a millimeter? Maybe even a centimeter, a meter or a kilometers?> Possibly even miles?

Then Alex progress to another story about the boy and the size and growth issue – well I think I fell asleep by then, why? My notes were slanted. But hey h, Alex soldiered on at blistering pace about again got his dictionary book of quote of which he picked up Vincent Thomas quote of

“Winners never quite, Quitters never Win!!!”

From there on, Alex concluded the first part of the webinar with the emphasis on that “Hell no, it’s not hard!” and to just get it going!!!

Right, cont…on next post!!!!

Part 3 – Pre- Secret Underground project Concept

by nigelyip on January 30, 2009

Hey Everyone

How are you all -been a long while since I last blogged and no.. I haven’t been skiving or bunking off at all. So what exactly have I been doing for the past week – well first remember my post about getting my new pc?

Well guess, what I have one, in fact one that I have built and customised fully myself – it’s nothing special – it;s certainly not the whiz bang, ultimate supremacy in performance with fancy Intel Quad Cores, flashy ATI extreme graphics savages.

Instead I opted for a cheap upgrade at first – thinking of using some of my old PC components – eventually I end up building a new one for scratch i.e. new case, new processor, new memory, new hard drive etc…

For some, building a PC is like asking them to sort out a cable mess or to sweep the carpet with a toothbrush, for some it like eating breakfast each day.

I like to say I am in the latter half, although perfection got the better of me – why? I spent 3 hours waiting and queuing up to buy components, then travelled back home and built it that same evening. Only to find out later, I forgot something and that it was too noisy.

What did I do next? I went back next day and got myself a new processor fan, and went over crazy with sound deadening materials.

That’s right, sound proofing a pc – lol – I’ve used soundproofing material specifically made for PC and I’ve also gone and used sound proofing material for cars. It took me about an hour to sound proof as much as I could, applying the material to everywhere I could think of that would vibrate noise, cause rattle, horrible droning noise etc… and obbiously is safe to do so.

Basically, my pc is quiet, to some, some would say silent, but for me, it certainly was a lot better than when I first built it but it’s not super quiet or silent – that I guess would be something I hope to achieve one day.

So, why am I obsessive about quietness, silence and all this soundproofing malarky?

Well, it all started with my car but then hey what has the above got to do with the Secret Underground Project?

You see, it’s simple, I now have a machine which I like, I can work with and most importantly, it’s a machine built just for business and so it means I can now use it as the backbone for the Secret Underground project and oh yeah, the case is also black too so kinda fits the mysterious theme too lol.

Anyway what is the Secret Underground project Concept? It’s basically my secret plan for 2009 and how it will make me money whilst not having to be too publicly too. It’s all part of a strategy to become the…..

All the best

The Next Video – A step forward or backwards?

by nigelyip on January 20, 2009

Hey Everyone,

Yesterday had been a one of them days when everything didn’t seem or go according to plan. You see, as I told you all previously,
I was hoping to get my video all done by the weekend, or latest yesterday i.e. 1 hour ago.

However as always, things never go quite to plan and it all began in the morning when I tried to do my video processing.

First, my pc decided to play up and not connect to my internet wifi box, next, it decided that it would not load any Adobe Flash 10 plugins/web elements and finally, the ADSL modem cable which run down the stairs got snagged and torned.

Yep, it wasn’t the best of all start, so anyway, I quickly sorted out these problems, only to find out that where I had stored my video, the file I had saved, didn’t save properly and all the work done previously had dissapeared, and so it was back to square one.

But then talk about failing forwards, I originally planned that I would do a video of myself talking howeve, my voice was just terrible, I sounded like a high pitch freak and there I have been thinking I had a mature voice all them years.

Anyway, the video certainly fulfills the mentioning of Alex ‘s Blog and also my own blog, plus I think it also fulfills Maria Andro’s brief of making a video about ourselves. So okay, turns out I have ot use a computer voice instead of my own voice, as it

Woohoo – another hull added to my canoe aka my New Blog

by nigelyip on January 6, 2009

Nigel-land calling to everyone. As you will all know, Dean (Holland) one of the top students in the AJ Students group has been recently busily aligning himself with “The Internet Marketing Kick Start Course” which is run by Sara Brown and Tony Shepherd.

Well guess, what? If you haven’t noticed yet, Alex has given them a most wonderful testimonial it’s not because they have met or JV’s but the fact is, if you have been eBaying a few years ago, or have been actively seeking ways ot make money online, chances are you may have heard of Laycock Publishing which is formed by two of the many top Internet Marketers out there.

Oh and I didn’t want to spoil anything and I know I will soon kick me off if Alex finds out that I also joined the Kick Start Course when I his coaching course as well.

But then, it was Tony Shepherd who referred me to Alex, our o’great mentor as well. Guess you could call it evens?

Anyway, since looking back at one of the webinar notes, I too am going implement Alex’s method and following Dean’s appraoch of aligning myself in the path of where money flows as well.

If you would like to see or get a taster of what ‘The Kick Start Course” is about then why not check out my recently created blog: It’s at:

http://www.kickstartmarketer.com

I only put it up the blog yesterday but I found a feature where I can post blogs and set the date of them to days before. It’s very easy, when you are blogging, simply before publishing, go to Publish Box located at the right of your post box i.e. where you type your post, select “edit” and then you have the options of changing the dates.

For those who are going away, you can write your blog post in readiness, set the date for a future date and it will schedule your post and when the date and time comes, automatically publish your post on your blog for you. How kool is that.

Anyway please bear with me if some things are not running quite smoothly yet on the new blog..

All the best

Nigel
