Have been making and trying to make even more money online for almost a decade – first started on ebay in 2003 selling a few random items on behalf of father, then  went serious in 2005 and started selling information and sim cards whilst also attending college.

Got shut down by eBay in 2006 again, rebuilt business 1 month later after suspension period ban released – now specialising in jiffy bags and used PC Game but sold under 2 separate eBay accounts, whilst also studying a Degree in Design Technology with Engineering.

Late Nov. 2006/ 2007, tried various business opportunities and started to delve into Home Business Opportunity direct mail order, published my first Home Biz Op magazine called “Home Profits Mania”, one man and a photocopier – lol, Magazine started off initially with just 3 advertisers, then graudally increased until 15 months later where it was time to move on, as the market moved towards the internet – at that point I think we had around 200+ adverts in the last issue and finally broke even with the intial investment and running costs. By this time I needed to focus on my university degree and Amazon book selling was becoming highly lucrative. So stuck with Amazon and eBay.It also at this time I began to read about internet marketing and started to follow Sara  Brown and Tony Shepherd.

In 2008 an awful year on both a personal and business level, with the highlight of the year being that I got my degree -  I was 0.5 points off getting a 1st honour – damn!!!!! Anyway parents felt proud anyway, late summer, early autumn, eBay gave me an ultinatum, this time suspsension with unknown period across all accounts, however life rewards one with unexpected occurence – the day I got banned from eBay, I met my first online internet Marketing mentor – Alex Jeffreys, and joined his Marketing with Alex Coaching Course, as well as Sara Brown and Tony Shepherds’ Kick Start Marketing course. All was progressing well until….

2009,  talk about being awful, this was a year that I will never ever forget and something I don’t even wish to discuss – other than I never felt such a failure before – business just simply did not work out, and there were also personal legal matter and issues to content due to an unforeseeen circumstance/ and I also lost control and quitted the coaching course – utterly bad decision because I then ended up going on a spending spree, buying and reading information and hype, following eBooks and guides from other marketers and gurus such as Mike Filsaime, Chris Canos, Michael Cheney, Howie Schwarz to name a few. Good for them, worrying for my bank account.

2010 – A sign of relief or so I thought… I was finally able to rebuild my eBay business, however having been away for so long, everything changed, the market place changed, it was no longer about paying featured listings, or having the lowest price, or numerous auctions selling the same thing. The game had changed, and I had to change rapidly and get ahead, now were the introduction of the DSR’s (Detailied Seller Ratings) where your the item your are selling is place in a rank of best match and if you were a top rated seller – neither of which I was, so I set about changing my business, I researched, researched and researched, implemented, bought lot of various eBay info products from people like Oliver Goehler, John Thornhill and then I set about implementing except I didn’t. Instead after reading them, I started to develop my own strategy and that involved creating simplicity, selling things people want which is always in demand, and has to be replenish. It also had to be lightweight and easy to sent and could not be broken regardless how your treated it.

Bam!!! I found my niche and I was selling over 700 of these items each month, my USP (Unique Selling Point) was that I aimed to offer quick despatchment of order, the best customer service by keeping them updated about when item was despatched and when it would expect to arrive, and good value. However things were not going to be so rosy as Novemeber 2010- I got hit again with a suspension notice – I had just spent the last couple of months building my business and finally got the coveted Top Rated Seller recognition and position, when they took it away from me, arrghhhh…

Nov 2010 - I decided that was that, eBay is having a laugh and now it’s getting serious, I needed to venture out and I guess miracles do happen, just as I got banned, Alex Jeffreys launched his next coaching program called Forward to Marketing with Sally Neill at the helm, man was  I going to gun it. I whipped out my debit card without even flinching and it turned out to be my best purchase to date at that time, because 6 weeks later I made my first ever proper $27 dollar sale  – I was ecstatic and oh yeah!!!! Little did I know I would have gone on since to make another 16 sales. (Actually it’s 17 total sales now.) That point on I decided to do something random by deleting my mailing list and rebuilt back again with a JV Giveaway Event experiment – that was to be the third time rebuilding my list – lol – hopefully as they say third time lucky!!!

12/13 June 2011 were days that I simply did not imagine would ever happen – I got to finally meet Alex Jeffreys my first ever mentor and little did I know that I would also meet Sally Neill who ran Forward to Marketing for Alex, and so many like minded inviduals of the internet marketing community at the Instant Profit Seminar – Man those are days I will never ever forget – too may startstruck moments and hilarious moments at the bar.

September 2011 -  So far I actually for once am enjoying myself, in that although my eBay business is rebuilt and growing steadying, and I’m not going to get complacent about it, because I have been there and back and lost it all and rebuilt it, so I’ve decided to embark upon the next chapter of my life, and as Alex Jeffreys recently wrote in his recent latest ebook “Unreported Marketing” , you know when your “Ready”and now is the time for me to start afresh, to clear all the past and begin on expedition to building an online everlasting income business with help of Sally Neill’s latest Learn With Sally Coaching program.

You may think that is all and well for you Nigel, but what it’s got to do with me?

Well I’ve learnt from my experience now that having a mentor is necessary, because they will help guide you along the road that is less travelled, they will take out the guess work for you, and they also help you make informed and educated decision when you come to a crossroad of choice, but sometimes, even when you know where you are heading, it can get quite lonely, hence the reason as to why I started this new blog

I could have used my old blog at Nigelyip.com to document what I do, however I just didn’t feel it was right because everything over there seems all over the place, like an organised mess, and more importantly, it started to get a bit negative, and I wanted to start afresh, I want a place where I can:

• invite like minded individual on the pursuit of online success to join and travel with me on my journey towards online success
• to share my experience,
• to share my knowledge,
•  to share the joy,
•  to share the emotions and more importantly…
•  inspire and help others like you to become an online success too.

Ofcourse we’ll also try to have fun as well,  because I started off as newbie once and I know how hard it can be, and marketing doesn’t have to be boring or hard either. So make sure you regularly come back to check up what I and other get other, I and many others certainly wouldn’t want you to miss out the fun or the moments where we stumble across a golden nugget of info that will help you glow and become an online success.
