EOW Progress Report & Why a guy tried to Humiliate Me in front of Public!!!

by nigelyip on December 13, 2008

So… how has everyone been?

Firstly I have to say I’ve been really naughty that I’ve missed out the first few hours on the workshop lesson and hopefully it will be in the members area for reviewing again. I had to help my parents at my shop but I was still busy doing something productive for this coaching course – you see why later.

Secondly I like to talk about my current progress for this week and I will continue to do this from this post onward. Every Saturday, once a week, I will do a reflect post and update about what progress I have achieved during the week and to let others also know what can sometimes unexpectedly happen.

So here we begin:

Firstly some stats:
Alex List Pulling Platform Subscribers = 3 , Sales 0
Lights Camera Action subscribers = 9 , Sales – N/A
How to Write, Publish, Sell ebooks online – Subscribers 1, Sales 23
Streaming Audio 4 U – Subscribers 9, Sales 0

Joint Venture Partners = 1 Potential

Hehe…. Talking about Joint Venture. I got an offline potential Joint Venture partner on Thursday night in one of the most unexpected places i.e. my parents shop.

A lady came in to ask if she could put a flyer up on the windows/shop notice wall and I noticed she was an author trying to get her book flying off the bookshelves with the help of internet marketing. She’s already done a really good job in terms of offline advertising i.e you know.. press release, 2 radio station interviews as for online, she has also done Amazon presence and online community with Facebook. The only issue is she needed ways to drive more internet traffic to drive her sales.

I mean, it’s a really good niche book – helping people banish driving test nerves away, helping dyslexic people pass the their test, ways to reduce stress etc, and yeah we got talking especially methods how she would need to drive traffic to her site and before we knew it, an hour had went past… and now I have a long time friend/client/ potential future JV Partner. It’s great to see things come together. 3 weeks ago, we were all hoping for a turning point in our lives and that one day we would become successful. I truly think that meeting Alex has literally and will be the turning point of our lives and that not only this coaching course make us money, but also help us spot potential business, joint venture oppportunities and establishing contacts.

Oh and did I tell you about this morning – the guy at the library , boy oh boy was it great fun, first this old guy aged 63, teased me by speaking bits of mandarin and followed by spanish… He reckon I was just some young kid on the block and wanted to show off to the rest of the others in the public library how he could tease and humilate a young guy with glasses.

Well, I applied Alex’s rule of expressing myself and I just simply blew him to pieces by telling him about: How I was on a coaching course with Alex Jeffreys making money online, creating internet business ventures and that I had just written my latest ebook called Lights.. Camera…. Action. etc….

What really surprised me was the words kept coming out of my mouth and the two librarians, one a part time 16-18 year old female and one a woman aged mid 40′s who always hated seeing me, started to take interest.

I didn’t look at them because I was focusing my attention on telling this guy what I was doing, but secretly I knew he was thinking ….. okay…. brain dead moment… wrong guy to pick a conversation with.

As for the librarians, especially the young female librarian who may not have noticed, I certainly noticed that she was steadfast with awe and from glancing at her standing posture, eyes and how her feet were positioned -God Knows what else she was thinking (Excuse my pun here – peeps and no offence to religion btw) I mean why would anyone stand in the same pose and postion with out a single bit of movement for more than 5 minutes hence my above conclusion.

Anyway what I’m trying to say is, Alex Course isn’t just life changing, it literally exudes people with awe and inspiration when people hear about it. Plus if we also applied what we learnt from Alex in Module 3 about freely expressing ourselves, we won’t be just a success online, but people will also see us being successful people who have found and achieved a right balance between work, lifestyle and making money using the internet.

The power of association also definately works too so I warn you now, soon we will be all having even more attention on our hands when we finish.

This “Rat pack 2008″ as Coleen puts it – is going to be a one hell’uva cracking storm that, when unleased, will unveil a unimaginable force of power which will even put a Gale Force 10 Hurricance wind combined with a tsunami and a mega super vortex typhoon to shame.

So yeah a mixed set of results this week and tune in next Saturday for my weekly results review!

Take care and all the best
Nigel

Hi Nigel,

All fantastic stuff mate. I have read your ebook now and it’s excellent.

Talking of ebooks…

I just finished the 1st draft of my first ebook and
I wondered if you could help me?

I get many questions a day on my blog and by email about
blog related topics. So the book I am putting together
answers most of these, but I would like to know if you
can think of anything else that could be included. Even
better would be any questions you want answered.

The ebook covers WordPress settings, changing the header,
widgets, plugings, adding aweber, adsense, adverts and more.

I have just posted on my blog so if you can think of anything else
I should cover, please leave a comment.

Thanks!
Mark

Yip-Man,

Even though we have never met I feel as though I know you.

WOW! You are REALLY blossoming. Well done, Nigel, for holding your ground and sticking to your guns! I would have loved to have seen that exchange.

When certain “incomplete” people (as I call them) are really nasty and being d*ckheads and beating up on who they consider to be “EASY” targets I like to stand back and watch.

If things get out-of-hand I step in with a bit of “ANGER MODERATION” stuff of my own. I HATE seeing people persecuted and, although I am capable or resorting to any level of tactic employed by the other side, I really enjoy using the power of words and VERBAL expression to make bad people SEE the error of their ways.

Then, if they choose to escalate things and take it to the nth level of stupidity – ie physical stupidity – heh…heh… boy! Are they in for a surprise – LOL! I won’t say any more here.

Anyway, Nigel, what makes you think the 40 year old woman hates you? I’d be interested to know why you think that.

I would make a point of everytime that you go there of passing her and giving her a nice big smile and saying, “Good-morning!” or whatever the case may be. Convert her – heh…heh… maybe you already HAVE!

Personally, I think you have your attention more on the 18 year old – I know!

Nigel, having said all of the above – ALWAYS know when retreat is the better option to valour.

Regards

Gary Simpson

Hey Gary

Thank you for your wonderful comment and yeah I agree to about retreating and standing back, but the old guy initially teased me once already and the first time I thought I would just be polite, smile, say hello and then ignore him and carry on looking for the book I wanted.

Guess it didn’t work because when I was waiting to be served at the librarian counter, he decided to tease me again but this time he was teasing and laughing at me at the same time and I thought: Look, I gave you a chance already and now you are really treading over the line here, and that’s when I thought of the ethics of reciprocity rule which I read in an aesop fable when I was a kid.

So combining this and what Alex has told me in Module 3 about expressing myself, along with Coleen advice which she recently gave me, I simply just did what I thought was the correct thing.

The reason why I know the 40 year old female librarian hates me is that: I’ve been going to this same library since I was a school kid and everytime I came to the counter when she was on duty, she would deliberately walk away, pretend to be doing something and make me wait for like 5-10 minutes before coming to serve me. I’ve always tried being politeful to her but it has never worked and I don’t personally hold a grudge or a chord with her or anything either. Maybe she just on a different wavelength – I don’t really know.

As for the 18 year old – nope I’m not interested, past experience tells me that I will and should not be such a fool and fall at the first hurdle of intrigued by female upon first sight. My past experience have been nightmare. The reason I mentioned about the young libraian was that a) she was there, and b) it was what happened and c) I like ot explain things in great details and it helps keeps things amusing, plus I also like to study human behaviours and am intrigued about what they people thinking.

Additionally, I constantly remind myself each day that my aims are to build a sucessful online/offline business that will make enough money for my parents so that they can retire early, money to help fund my little brothers univeristy fees and help him start a career he wants and for me to pursue my dream of being a writer and be recognised for my writing efforts. That’s it.

Anyway apologies for this Long Post Gary

All the best Nigel.
