Hey Everyone,

As many may or may not have noticed. Recently, there has been quite a few online internet marketing courses that have been set up, marketed and currently running as we speak. In fact there has been so many of them, that my inbox, for it not have been the adequate size that Gmail has provide us individually, it would have probably exploded. So, okay, it may be not that dramatic, but you know what I mean.

Sure, most of them are quite parallel in what they cover or touch upon i.e. the same or similar content such as blogging, aWeber, email marketing, article marketing, use of social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Squidoo etc….

At this point some of them will probably introduce ways to attract even more traffic to their website or blog via the forms or CPA, use of work payment incentives sites such as Microworkers, MyMicroJobs or Amazon Mechanical Turk. Additionally, they may also introduce the element of video marketing, YouTube, Viddler, forums marketing, and a basic form of Keyword Searching and S.E.O.

What I must also state at this point is that I’m not trying to make a massive fuss about this or about the numerous amounts of emails that have been burdened upon me to filter through one day, but the issue is that with all these various newbie internet marketing courses, newbies for one, are sure spoilt for choice, which leads me to the second interrelated issue which directly affects us Internet Marketers and that is: How do we divide the Apple Pie?

That’s right… how do marketers divide the Apple Pie?

Let just for one moment, we imagine that the apple pie is proportionally divided into 1000 segments, each segment represents 10 wannabe die-hard, ready for action internet newbies wanting to make it big in the I.M. scene – How do we divide it?

Sure the Gurus, and more established Internet Marketers would surely grab a bigger slice or at least, snatch a few extra segments and the tasty crispy pastry edge, compared to the rest of the others who have just started, who may be scrapping over the last crumb or caster sugar granule, or the horrible soggy bit in the middle which nobody really likes, that it unless your apple pie is made and bought from the famous fast food restaurant. (In which that case – it’s all crispy, battered and even worse, the segment pieces would be even smaller.)

And guess what, things don’t have to be like that at all. In fact, nowadays, the game rules have been reversed or at least there are leniencies here and there, where one may take advantage of. Sure the gurus will still have the upper hand in most scenarios but what we mustn’t neglect is that one of the major ways that can help you stand out amidst the competition and enhance sales is to show customers that you are highly knowledgeable in your niche segment, something that the gurus have amassed through… years of initial hard work.

And you know what – you can fast tracked this process by writing blogs, posting articles on ezine articles and answering questions on various forums are excellent methods and channels of demonstrating your knowledge, your expertise as well gaining your potential customers trust and faith in you and your business.

Just remember the following word though….

“Clarity”

Why I hear you asking?

The main fundamental reason as to what will sell or not sell, is not just about having a great personal character, the best product on the market, or the most advance features in the marketplace. The most important point is clarity. Sure I’ve been banging on about the word “Clarity” for the past 10 minutes, but you’ll be amazed by the amount of guides that I have come across, of which no doubt are very good products, some even beyond excellence with respect to the content contained within, but the way that the information was presented and delivered was beyond disbelief. Some verging on being unreadable and needing a dictionary.

And I’m not joking here either. Some of the guides and courses I have come across were written with such highly technical language, fancy acronyms, and jargon, that I even had to resort to using Google, dictionaries and asking fellow I.M. friends and family if they new what the word or acronym meant.

I mean do you know what “PPCSE” is, or what “INK” means? At first, I though “PPCSE” was some kind of fancy certification or qualification (think PostGraduate Course i.e. th PGCE bit). Apparently, when I later discovered through a CPA (Cost per Action) Advertising website that “PPCSE” meant Pay Per Click Search Engine and “INK” isn’t the liquid thing that you have stored in pretty plastic cartridges which you replace when you inkjet printer flashed at you continuously with a red light, which at night time, if unknown, one would have thought it was a ticking time bomb.

Instead “INK” stands for “Inktomi” which apparently a key player and pioneer in the search engine market, but also one that was little known, as it operated ‘behind the scenes’ without having a search facility under its own brand. Now though, it is part of Yahoo! and central to the development of Yahoo!’s own search engine technology.

What I’m trying to demonstrate here is that users, buyers, potential wannabe internet marketers and pretty much anyone else ( that also includes scientist, lawyers, doctors or any other occupations which involve researching though journals and technical papers for a living sometimes), all love reading free flowing and clear content which is easy to understand too. If they are stuck trying to understand a technical jargon, term or anagram, you can be sure they will be on their way to the next site, or the next marketing course in a jiffy, abandoning yours in no time. Therefore, one of the best writing methods is to write in a simple and easy to understand language.

Finally, if you are going to write something that will probably sell something afterwards, don’t be too blatant about promoting your products, otherwise you will be perceived to be a long advertisement and will not attract readership. People do not want to be sold, but instead they would rather prefer to understand how to solve problems in their life. If they can identify this with you, and you have solved your similar problem with a product or service that you have confidence in, that is an endorsement that resonates.

The bottom line here is: ensure what ever you write is clear, concise, transparent, and that it contain enough knowledge on your product or service, and that it is extremely easy and simple to read and understand. And if you do promise something – make sure you deliver on it and when things go wrong; don’t squeeze you way out of the situation by hiding under words that even you don’t understand

Finally remember this, if you have been sold an apple pie, of which it looks like one with the pretty apple logo on the pastry top, and you put it in your mouth, the last thing you would want to find out is that you have been misled into buying a pork pie instead. That is unless you prefer pork pies instead or apple pies, of which in that case, I’m sorry to have wasted your time!

Until next time, best wishes and regards

Hey Everyone

Hope you are well today. As stated last week, this week will be the continuation on the theme on how you can write your own money making report.

More specifically, we’ll be discussing about “How do you determine the subject that’s best for you to use for your first report?”

After all, you don’t want to wasting your time researching and writing reports that nobody would read or that very few would. That is unless, your niche is so specific that it commands a considerable amount of money, that it makes it worth the while.

However, before we even reach that stage, we need to first get your mind and brain into gear to channel your thinking, your thought processes and creative juices along these lines: For example, if you have a penchant for the love to fish, then it would be highly suggestible that you could probably put together a money-making report on “How To Catch The Big Ones.” If you enjoy sewing, you could probably write a report on “Tips For Beautiful Sewing”. If you have experience in advertising, you could write a report on “How To Write Ad that pulls;” or if you have experience in the printing industry, you could write a report on “How To Prepare Copy and Layout For Best Printing Results”. Should none of those tickles your fancy, or if you are like me, who has experience in running your own home business using eBay or Amazon, then you could create and write a report about them, or even better entitled along the lines “Better eBay / Amazon Business Operating Techniques”, or “Become a Powerseller / eBay Pro in less than 30 days!”

Basically, to cut to the chase, it’s worth repeating the following concept: Whatever you decide to write or research about, make it something you know about, and are especially interested in. There is absolutely no point researching and then writing a report on something that you have no knowledge, experience or passion about.

For example: my friend Gary Simpson is a Martial Art / Self- Help motivational author – expert and teacher. Cue: he has written and continues to write numerous articles, books and various other publications about motivation, self-help, and more recently, because he has entered the internet marketing niche and has made a success; he now also writes about hot topics with regards to the internet marketing world, of which include “Ad swapping, Twitter, Time management, Understanding the internet marketing mentality, etc….

Then there is Dr. Edward De Bono, an author who I highly respect, and is also a physician, inventor, and consultant. Of which, who is also regarded by many to be… the leading authority in the world in the field of creative thinking and the direct teaching of thinking as a skill. Dr. Edward De Bono has during the past 30+ years has written 80+ books with translations into 40+ languages and has been invited to lecture in 50+ countries.

He also coined the term “Lateral Thinking,” and is regarded as the originator of lateral thinking which treats creativity as the behaviour of information in a self-organising information system – such as the neural networks in the brain. The key point is that he has sold millions of books worldwide, all on subjects he enjoys, is passionate about and has experience in.

I could go on and on – naming more regarded and respected experts and friends, and tell you how they have taken a subject they were interested in, found out everything about it they could, and parlayed it into a fortune by starting with the writing of a “How-To” / “Self-Help” report.

However… rather than go on with these stories upon stories of how others have done it, and are doing it, let’s get on with the task of showing you how you can write your own “How-To” report and parlay it into a personal wealth vehicle of your own!

As we have established previously prior to the above examples, is that once you have decided on the subject, you will or are going to write about. The next step is conducting thorough research, gathering information, not to bulk out your guide or report that you will write, but in fact to help support and provide it with information that is of relevancy and accuracy. So why not visit your public library and “top up” on your subject.

Obviously, if you already have knowledge or experience in the subject then you may or may not need to visit your library, but in my own opinion, it pays to visit it at lease once, because you may be surprise to find out additional information that may be of great benefit to your report, guide or book that your will be writing. For those on the other had who may not have as much experience or knowledge, but are passionate about the subject, then it might be useful to read as much about it as you can find – newspapers, magazines, books – online journals, information websites, to put bluntly… everything!

You may even want to start collecting clippings, talk to your neighbours, your friends and relatives, and take notes on all information you gather from reading and personal discussion.

When you’ve spent a good four to six weeks intensively researching your subject, gathering notes and discussing it as often as you can with as many different people as possible, you should be ready for the next step – the sorting, compiling and assembly of your notes. Simply read through all the notes and clippings you have accumulated, discarding those that are repetitious, and organizing those you’re going to use according to your “subject coverage” outline.

Whatever you do, don’t let the outline part of your project become an obstacle. Why? Because an outline is simply listing the order in which you want to write about or discuss each aspect of your subject. Everything that’s written should have a natural beginning, a body and an ending.

When you outline your subject, and your “subject coverage,” which can be likened to a table of contents, you’ll find it easier to say what you want to say. You’ll be able to say everything you want to say. You won’t have to worry about forgetting or leaving out an important point you want to make. The coverage of your subject will be more complete, and your writing will be much smoother.

Once you’ve completed your research, organized your notes, and have your “subject coverage” outline set, you are now ready to write the money-making report that just might make you rich! Start writing or typing which ever your prefer and remember that you must write as though you were talking to someone, because writing, after everything has been analyzed, taken apart, studied, improved upon, decoded and reassembled together, is still nothing more or less than a written conversation between two people.

So…write your how-to report as though you were instructing a high school graduate in how to do something on his/her first day on the job. It makes no difference whether you write it all out longhand or pound away at the computer. The main objective here is “Just get it all written!

Once you’ve got your material organized, start writing and don’t stop until you’re finished! Well obviously life doesn’t always happen like that, their will obiovusly be interruptions such as the phone will unexpectedly ring, the postman or postwomen would knock on your door that the packet was too large to fit through the letterbox, or that you may feel a bit peckish etc…

So the alternative is to try and get as much done as possible, if time is of priority or unavailable for such as long period, then it might be worth while, writing your report, guide or book in sections, allocate at least 10 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour etc… to it instead.

Try to maintain the momentum and don’t write a chapter and then leave it aside until a week or a month later. By that time, you would have forgotten most things. That is unless you have a superb memory which can remember details like a camera taking a picture and storing it on a memory card or on a roll of film. And even they have a limit of some sort. Now when you have finished, be proud of yourself! Take a break, go out to dinner, enjoy a night on the town!

In other words, now is the time to put this first draft of your report aside for a few days and allow your brain, your body, and your creative juices to rejuvenate themselves.

After a couple of days off, take up your report, guide or book and go through it with a sharp pencil (if you have written it out or your mouse if your using the computer) just as you imagine an professional editor would do. Strike out, delete, rewrite, re-type and simply just polish each paragraph for clarity, accuracy and flow. It might be also worthwhile reading it out aloud to yourself.

Time spent during this re-editing process to make sure what you’ve written is easy to read, easy to understand, and each sentence follows the one previously, is just as surely as spring always follows winter. The smoother the conversation or the writing of your report, guide or book flows, the easier it will be to read, and of course, the easier it is to read, the more copies you will sell.

Yes I know the previous sentence may have sounded rather daft, but you’ll be surprised to know that despite lots of reports that get published each day, only a select few will really make it.

Why?

Many reports fail not at the first hurdle, which is to provide top quality, fresh new content but at the second one, which is the way they are presented, delivered, written and how the ideas were explained. To put bluntly, which would you prefer to read and would recommend to others? A report, guide or book which contained great content but due to the way it was written, it meant that you had to grab your dictionary every fifth word, or that you had to decode the pages, sentence by sentence, word by word…

Or would you prefer to read a report, guide or book, which was easy to understand, the content and concepts were explained clearly and it didn’t involve you having to fetch your dictionary every fifth word because they used a scientific analogy or term. I know which one I would prefer to read and would recommend. Do you?

Referring back to the main topic of this email, now that you have a money-making report that has the potential of making a great deal of money for you. If you have written it out via pen and paper, now is a good time to transfer your masterpiece creation onto a computer, for those who had already previously typed it up, it’s now time to turn it into an eBook format. The most commonly used format is the Adobe PDF format.

There are many free online convertors which can turn your word document into the so-called PDF format. The one that I use most often can be found at www.freepdfconvert.com You simply visit the website, select the browse button, locate your report, guide, or book, click on it, press open, and voila the file path should appear on screen. Next to it, there is a button to press upload. Click on it, sit back and wait.

Now, depending on your file size, the process can take between 30 seconds to a good 10 minutes. Hence you have the option of inserting your email address, so that the website can notify you when the transitional process has been completed. Oh and don’t worry, the online convertor will not destroy or delete your original word file. It simply makes a copy of it, except rather than being in word format which anyone can edit it; it will now be also in the Adobe PDF format.

The next job is to get it out there and sell it. To sell it, there are various way to approach this. Of course you could sell it online website such as Amazon.com, Lulu.com etc… or if you want, you could also sell it on Ebay, however, you must make sure you clearly state in the auction listing that the item will be sent on a CD and that you do also send out a CD to your buyer. The last thing you want is the hassle of having your account suspended because you breached on of their policy rules.

Obviously, you could also post your eBook on various forums of which some have threads which allow forum members and user to list, sell and exchange goods etc… For this it’s advisable that you have your own website with at least: a sales page of some sort, a payment processor such as PayPal and a download page where the buyer will download their guide. If you want to get fancy, then you could have additional pages to offer your buyers additional products.

However for the purpose of this postl – I shan’t go into detail about it. Maybe I will cover it in a subsequent ezine or in a future guide. But the clear advantage of having your own website is that it’s like your own store with your own product, except you don’t have to guard and lock it up at the end of each day like a brick and mortar store would have you doing.

Instead, you can simply set it up once, and forget about it. You won’t even have to touch and pack the product as everything is done online. Obviously, it may be beneficial to have additional version available as there will be some who will still prefer the actual physical bound copy and the sense of occasion of something arriving through the post and physically tearing open the packaging.

Anyway, I shall not dabble any further, and thank you for your time in reading this post which I first wrote for my email ezine. I hope it has been of great use to you.

Now just before I dash off – I have a question to ask you – that is: what would you like to see more of? By that I mean what types of subjects, topics, areas that you would like to me cover or help you with? I can’t guarantee that I will be able to answer every possible question, but I will try my best and if I don’t know, I may know of an expert who can help.

Until next time – Best wishes!

Hey Everyone,

I hope you are all well and had a wonderful weekend. I personally had a pretty calamity one being that I’ve just got a year older and Mother’s Day didn’t go according to plan or at least what I had planned didn’t exactly work out that well.

Anyway, the above isn’t the reason why your here. So let’s get back to focus.

The raison d’etre for this weeks post is that from my personal experience with mail order and various Internet Marketing businesses, I have to confess, and many will probably also agree to some certain extent is that: writing and selling information in the format of “How to Reports” is definitely the “real” Money Maker in both types of home run businesses and it basically involves the selling or the exchange of information, of which one of them it can be presented includes the commonly used basic “How To” Report.

More importantly, it’s something anyone can produce, and with all the proper ingredients at the right time, you can become independently wealthy! The hard part, of course, is getting all the proper ingredients at the right time.

Typically a basic “Money Making Report” is usually two pages in length in mail order or a quick 6+ page report that sells for the region of around $7, fetching to anything up and beyond $27+ in the internet marketing world.

For both offline and online , the content will typically contain instructions, details, or a “How-To Method” for solving a particular problem: be that making more money, saving money, attaining greater happiness, or fulfilling an ambition or desire, gaining more website traffic, Google ranking domination strategies, twitter, article marketing etc…

The most significant differences between offline and online is that one requires the usage of snail mail and the other, virtual hyperway i.e. email delivery, which also cost significantly less. If we review from previous years, and if I can recall correctly, the most successful and biggest money-makers reports ever written, had to do with the many different ways to prepare and serve hamburger. I know it sounds ridiculous, but this simple, basic kind of information is what we’re talking about.

In fact, any man, woman or child can write a saleable report on any subject – providing he or she has knowledge of that subject through personal experience, research, or even both. A lot of women write successful money-making reports based upon better ways of solving household problems. And a lot of men write successful money-making reports on how to get greater pleasure from leisure time activities such as fishing, wood working or other hobbies. The list of subjects that one can write about is endless, and reports on how to make more money easier and faster are no more limited to male authors than expertise in cooking is limited to female authors.

For some, the sound of writing a report sounds like a daunting experience; however, actually, writing your report is very easy and quite simple. It may just take a little longer, and requires more sweat, blood and anguish to produce a “finished” product than it does for others, even if they are equally intelligent and knowledgeable.

The best advice anyone can give you on how to write a money-making report is to advise you to write as though you were talking to someone – as though you were instructing your next door neighbour via the telephone on the subject at hand.

I use the word telephone here to point out… because sometimes in life, especially in some certain situations, you can… regardless of how much you wave your arms, point your finger, or even draw wonderful Picasso-art like, or Da Vinci Technical Drawings, you may simply can not get your message across, and your neighbour won’t “see” what you’re talking about. That is until you communicate with him or her in the kind of language that he or she can understand.

Another tip is to write in a style similar to the book reports you used to give when you were in the High School/ College. Do you remember the “assignments/ projects/theme papers” that you used to have to research, outline and write in time for them to be handed in at the end of term/year?

Obviously, you would get a good grade if you presented your work in an attractive, straightforward style, with the required facts, and didn’t pad out your paper with wasteful information.

So taking tips from what I have just mentioned, be factual, and be clear. Make sure you also know who your readers are and ideally, if possible, use the kind of language that he or she expects you to use. This does not mean that you should drop to the level of military barracks talk or that you should elevate yourself to the level of a some PHD Scholar/Graduate.

It basically just means that when writing the basic “How-To” report, you should bear in mind that these reports serve as personal one-to- one consultations between you and your reader, and that your language should establish a rapport which he or she can feel.

Next, you should outline what you want to say before you write it. This helps greatly; in fact I would definitely recommend it. Many writers “think” as they’re typing or writing what they want to say, myself included. But believe me, everything flows a lot smoother, with a lot less rewrite involved, and the finished product is always much better when you’ve outlined and planned what you want to say before you start.

When doing business, these Money-Making “How-To” reports we’ve been talking can also be known by many other names especially in the online internet marketing world. These include: ebook guides, e-folio, e-booklet, e-manual, electronic guide, self help content or even Personal Success Plan. In reality, these reports are written guidelines that give the reader more information on a subject he wants to know more about.

Money Making reports have been, and can still be written to show other people how to start, develop, enjoy or expand a hobby; how to learn and develop new or greater abilities; how to start, develop and operate a new business, or even expand a current one; i.e. How to develop and prepare for a new career; how to make more money; how to save money, better one’s standard of living and have more time for leisure; how to solve personal problems and enjoy life more; how to attain success in any endeavour .

You’ll find that the better selling reports are well researched, authoritative, factual and helpful to the reader in the achievement of his goals. Your report can be put together and sold as anything from a a printed spiral bound guide to a multi-page electronic eBook or audio/video presentations, all of which can be downloaded and read or watched on the computer screen.

An important point to remember here is that the people who are going to buy your report are going to be interested in the information it contains – not how long it took you to put it together, the reason you wrote it, or the number of pages you’ve written – all they are most concern about is that it contains the information he or she wants, that can or will solve his or her problem.

Picking a subject to write about – one that has sales appeal and that will sell well for you – is not as hard as it sounds. The best rule to follow is to write only about something you already know a great deal about. With this advice in mind, it will follow that your best writing will be about those subjects that particularly interest you.

And remember, the more you are involved or interested in the subject, the easier it will be for you to write about that subject in a manner that will hold your reader’s interest. Your knowledge and enthusiasm will show through – causing your reader to overlook any technical writing weaknesses.

Right… that’s all for now. Next week I’ll be discussing the issue of “How do you determine the subject that’s best for you to use for your first report?”

Until next time, take care and olive war (au revoir)!

Hey everyone,

I hope you are all having a wonderful day and that you are all well. Today I like to offer you all a sneaky peek at the next product that I have in store lined up for you guys and gals, my dear readers, fans and subscribers. It’s called “Copywriting Bam and surprise surprise….as the title suggests … it’s to do with copywriting and how you can learn to write top, high quality sales letters that will convert traffic into sales.

Now, I could have written an encyclopedia volume on copywriting, thanks partly to the huge amount of read, researched, collated tested from various copy writing gurus such as Michael Masterson, Andrew Reynolds etc….

However what I have done instead is condensed it into a 32 page report that will be available for download very shortly. It aims to help both you and everyone else who may read this demystify the challenges that lay with writing a good copy.

Also up for grabs is that there will be a free version and a MRR version which includes rights to resell the guide for profit. With the MRR version you will also get a web sales page and download page which you can upload to you own servers, or to ebay to resell and make some money.

Right that’s all for now everyone, I;m just going to proofread and once the website design guys have completed the site for the MRR version – I’ll let you all know where and when to download it.

Until then – have a wonderful day

As we all know, a new year signifies a new start and although many of us have high hopes of fulfilling our new year’s resolutions, there will sure be many family members or friends who will make a joke, laugh or snigger that we may not be able to sticking our resolution throughout the year.

On the other hand, shoppers will be eagerly awaiting the New Year/January sales, which frankly I never quite grasped what the major fuss was other than you either take the presents you received back for a refund because your friend or family have bought an item too small or worse case scenario , something that you absolutely detested and was so hideous that you simply couldn’t wait to return or it back or in some cases, dispose of it in the bin and accidentally say to your friend that because the gift was so wonderful, you dare not wear or use it.

Anyway the point of call today for this post is I have something really special to tell you and that is: what better way to start a new year with something that will take away the gloom and may even help you in achieving your new year’s resolution and having the last laugh next year instead.

So what is it?

Well firstly, it’s a Self Improvement site and secondly, there 100’s of self help gifts to download with the best part being that…. it is absolutely FREE!

Because it has become so popular, this year Stephanie has enlisted the services of Rodger Hyatt, a very experienced internet marketer, and my wonderful friend Gary Simpson who has a copyrighting and self improvement background of some 20 years.

Good for them I hear you say! Guess what – it’s good for us, because, you an I both know how expensive book can be , especially since you only have to walk into any book store in any country to see how popular the subjects of self improvement, self awareness and personal development are.

It’s a multi-billion dollar industry churning out hundreds of new books, audios, CD’s and other paraphernalia every year, and you just have to walk in to a bookshop to see how much there is on offer.

Hey everyone

How are you all today? I hope you are well. Today I like to discuss with you all as well as the coming posts about E-mail Marketing. As we may all know, that one of hte best methods to online marketing is with email communication. It’s the most direct way to contact your customer personally, it’s quicker than snail mail and it’s very clean. Clean by that I mean no, folding letters, stuffing them into envelopes and sticking postage stamps, not to mention a trip to your nearest letter/mail box. I personally know this because I’ve been in the home direct mail order business for over 4+ years and the time it’s takes to stuff envelopes usually tends to leave you with RSI like symptoms, numb fingers, wrists which hurt when twisted, or grabbing an object, and neck ache too.

So, you can already see the benefits of email marketing. But then there’s another problem, like with any offline direct mail order mail shots and that is:

Anyone out there and that includes myself who can use a computer, have an email account and can use a mouse to point and click, chances are that you will only click on emails that interest you and those who keep bombarding you end up in the delete/trash bin, marked as spam or diverted to your bulk folder. I guess this is good that we implement such system to help keep our minds free from stress, and eyes not having to read these emails.

However, if we turn the tables around…. then we have a problem on our hands. Why? Well you got your internet website setup, you’ve got your sales page primed with a money push button, a OTO page behind, a download pages and possibly a name collecting Aweber form, now you need to get that all important notification/promotional email sent out to drive traffic and potential customers to your website and possibly buy.

BAM!!! What happens if your email get’s trapped between or labelled as one of those emails that get diverted, marked as spam, or deleted? What happens if the your reciepient doesn’t see your all important message contained within your email?

The answer is pretty straight forward – No view, no replies, no potential sales = no money. Or to put bluntly, your business will go down the pan faster than you can say your subject line!

Which brings me on to another point – “Subject Line”. Subject line is especially important, get it wrong, you’ll be losing customers without you knowing it and before long, you’ll have no list. Get it right, and your customers will keep an eye out for your emails.

There is no right or wrong way to email marketing, as no one customer is the same, and there are numerous techniques that will work of which you can apply to your email subject lines to make them more effective.

Oh and did mention that I personally don’t send out emails often. To date, I’ve only sent out 4 in total but my stats from my last two email broadcast were 54.9% success open rates and 37.2% success open rates respectively and that was just to a list of 71 and 78 people.

You can check out my stats by checking the following pic link and see for yourself.

So, my aim for the coming few posts is to discuss how you can tackle email marketing and get the best out of it as well as using it for your business.

Have a wonderful day

Nigel

Hi everyone,

How are you all and oh yes, Today, I will be continuing the remainder part of the 2 part – successful networking post.

Like I mentioned earlier, I picked this method up recently and it’s nothing major really, but it’s definitely a method to help build relationship and there are 3 steps

These are:

- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -

First Step – What is your name?

Yes I know, it a really simply question, but knowing somebody’s name is vitally important and whatever you do, make sure you make a mental note . By that I mean, would you be annoyed if I forgot your name? So to reiterate, whatever you do, try and remember the name too.

You’ll be surprised to know that there is a lot of power contained within a name. Why? When you address someone by their name, it engages them into a conversation with you, you get their undivided attention and they pay more interest to you as well. It not only shows you respect them, but it makes them feel special too. It’s like and imagine the scenario, John meets Debra from a seminar meeting 5 years ago, They only spoke for like 2 mins and since have never got in touch.

However, tonight, fast forward 5 years later, at the new seminar meeting, they bump into each other, Debra doesn’t remember John, but then, John back then was a youth, early 20′s who looked like a 16 year old and now he’s like 6ft 2″, handsome young man, who looks rather successful. He looks at Debra and say Hi Debra, and Debra is startled that this stranger know her name. Obviously at this point, Debra maybe quite intimidated and so of course, John needs to introduce himself and remind her of the seminar meet 5 years ago.

What this has done is that John has instantly elevated Debra to feel not only embarrassed but special too at the same time. Of course, it also means John has just captivated her undivided attention and has engaged her into a general conversation about past times, current situations etc…..

The point is that: name is very important.

- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -

Second Step: What do you do? or specifically what do THEY do?

Once you have established somebody’s name, you need to find out what they do? See what they are interested in etc… The reason is hat whilst they are telling you all this wonderful information about themselves, you are building a relationship with them, they feel like you are interested about them, and at the same time, if possible, you need to also think about where they can fit into your network, or do you know anyone who would be interested in meeting them and seeing what they do, and if you know somebody that you think would benefit from them, or would be interested in what they do, then slip in a word or two about it, explaining how you could put them in touch etc…

- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -

Third and final Step – Who is your/are their ideal customers and clients

That’s right, find out what your newly met friend ideal customers are? Or what exactly does the service or product the offer would cater for i.e. target recipient. If they describe their ideal customers and it relates to yours, that’s fabolous, you could be looking at a possible JV with them, advertising something to each others customers lists, or work on a new project/deal together etc… The possibility are endless.

However, if they describe their perfect customers which are completely to the opposite end of yours ideal customers group, but you know somebody who may benefit, again explain to them that you know may be of interest to them.

And that’s it really, networking is really that simple, 3 simple basic questions that are not only a great conversation starter but also good for networking.

So, get out there, memorize these: “to-ask” questions and expand your network. Seriously, everyone one of you out there has a 199% better chance that I have at this networking business, the reason?

Everyone of you out there is either more handsome, taller, or prettier looking that I am. Oh and you don’t have a squeaky voice or horrible looking teeth like I do too, so yeah, get networking and don’t let it be an obstacle for you.

Until Next time

Hi everyone,

What a lovely day it is today, and what a great time it is to blog in the back of my garden first time whilst using my my 4 year old treasured laptop. You know, what, I’m not exactly an outgoing person and to be honest really, this building a relationships thing is really out of my comfort zone, well it was, until recently, where I discovered a methodology secret to successful networking.

Networking as you may know, is that it can be very easy or very hard from some. i.e. like myself , who tend to prefer to keep myself to a corner at a gathering, a seminar or a party. However with internet marketing, this barrier must be broken down, if we are to ever generate customers, discovering new JV partners, researching a market and even for launching a new product.

Additionally, networking isn’t just about getting people to be interested in you…oh..no…. it’s not like that anymore. The aim of networking is to build a network between the people you meet and other people you know.

For example… let’s say I meet this guy at this seminar and he’s called John (to keep things simple), I’ve been talking to him for a while using my 3 pronged attack method that I picked up (more on this later) and I found out that, he’s a website designer, and very good one too! He’s done numerous websites for all the IM gurus out there so he’s pretty special.

Now for some, they will just remember his name and what he does and that’s about it.

What we should be aiming to do instead is this: whilst your gathering information about what John does, you need to put you mindset into a mode where you thinking of “Hey I know a great web designer that should be able to help you out or, hey, I know just a person who require your web design services.

The reason you need to be in this mindset is so that, not only are you establishing links between people, but your also establishing a presence for yourself, a reputation for knowing the right people for the right job and by also pairing up these people who are looking for one another i.e. supply and demand (not love dating for those who were digressing), then these guys and gals will thank you for it.

Why? You helped them out. You saved them having the hassle and time looking for a reputable individual or company, or an expertise which would have taken them hours, days, weeks, months to find, plus your also helping them create business and make money as well.

With customers on the other hand, it’s about you helping them finding the solution to an problem that they have been actively seeking to solve.

Networking if done successfully and correctly, then the outcome is that people will either love you, thank you, follow you or feel like they owe you a favor. Which is essentially what you need especially with potential and existing customers. And because they feel they owe you something, and you offering a product which solves another one of their problems, then they are more inclined in buying, downloading or listening to what you have to say pr offer.

Networking, it’s not really that hard, you just need to step out of your comfort zone and start chatting!

Until next time

Hi everyone

Now, I’m not making fun at you today or playing any tricks with you all either, but just take a look at the picture below and tell me what’s the first thing you see?

I’m guessing most of you would say it’s a rabbit, however the funny thing is this, take a look at the picture again but instead tile your head 45 degrees angle to your right hand side… notice anything different? Doesn’t it look like a duck as well? You see, it’s called a Wittgenstein’s Rabbit and about looking at something from a different angle. Because when you do, it sheds a whole new light on it.

No matter if it’s a funny cartoon brain trickery drawing, a book, a magazine, a car, or even a an business opportunity, it always pays to take another look, obviously from another angle or perspective. The key is that by stepping back and looking at something from various angles, and as much as we may miss obvious errors and possibly the chance to improve something for the better, we may sometimes completely miss the opportunity by already placing a biased image, comment, decision in our mind.

So it definitely pays to take your time, to consider things fully, observe things from all angles and perspective and certainly don’t judge things upon first impressions. Partly because if you do, you could miss out on something truly great and spectacular. I know I did, have, been there and done that, I do regret about them, not for long though, and then I move on. No point fretting about something when it has already happened

Anyway as they say, if you only look for a rabbit, then that’s all your going to ever see and get.

Until next time, have a wonderful day!
